Many horror games and movies are scary, but are sometimes predictable in their scares. Nothing gets the audience more than a good unpredictable scare. But how to do so? When is the perfect time to scare someone? I have some ideas I think might work, 1. The anti-climax: If you played Kyo Oni, you might remember the cage in the attic and it's little surprise. This is an example of using the cliched predictable scares for your advantage. It's like a fake out technique with a little extra. Another example would be after a scare to instantly include another one, throwing the player off guard. An example would be Mika from Ao Oni hiding in the clo
